1972: Guy White founded Tectonics Engineering Consultants, Inc., a multidisciplinary engineering firm with partners Wayne Mabry (structural engineering) and Zach McGhee (mechanical engineering)
1977: Guy White wrote the Electrical Engineering section of the South Carolina State Guidelines for Public School Construction
1984: Tectonics Engineering Consultants, Inc., became the Tectonics Group with member organizations: Guy White & Associates, Mabry Engineering and Zach McGhee & Associates
1987: The Tectonics Group reorganized into three separate engineering companies
1991: Guy White & Associates was reorganized from a sole proprietorship to a South Carolina Corporation
1995: Dickson O’Brien joined the firm
2001: Dickson O’Brien became the sole stockholder in Guy White & Associates, Inc.
2005: The company’s offices were relocated to its present location at 168 Laurelhurst Drive
2005: The firm name was changed to GWA, Inc.
2010: Guy White retired from the company
