Dan joined GWA, Inc. in 1990 and currently serves as a senior designer as well as lead for the firm’s communications design.

His work includes design and development of power distribution, communications, and lighting systems using Autodesk software for architectural construction projects.

His design work includes experience with building systems including lighting and lighting control, power, emergency power, fire alarm, security, communications, structured cabling, lightning protection, grounding, mission critical, support for mechanical systems and sports field lighting. 

He has designed communications systems for military, educational, healthcare and commercial office facilities as well as cable plant design for data centers. The scope of communications systems design varies from simple cable plant (horizontal cable systems) to complex data network solutions including servers, switches and related components.

General project experience includes healthcare, data centers, airports, commercial, institutional, correctional, educational, military and manufacturing facilities, waste water treatment plants, sports fields, and roadways.  

 Dan's continuing education includes courses and seminars in communication systems, lighting design, electrical codes, energy codes and emergency power.
