FLORENCE CITY-COUNTY COMPLEX – EMERGENCY POWER IMPROVEMENTS

Project Description: The Florence City-County Complex houses the Police Department, 911 Call Center, Judicial Center, and other civic entities which require reliable emergency power.

GWA performed a study of the existing system in 2007 and provided six options for Council’s consideration and funding.
The scope of work evolved during the next five years until it was finalized and released for bid in 2012 and completed in June 2013. In 2018, GWA completed modifications to the existing electrical distribution system associated with the replacement of existing elevators.

Design for new emergency power system improvements to the existing 13-story Florence City-County Complex including new weatherproof diesel generator assembly with integrated fuel tank, structural steel platform, masonry screen, automatic transfer switches, emergency power distribution, and normal power distribution systems.
