Project Description: A 48,996 square foot academic office and classroom building for Coastal Carolina University. The building includes 103 administrative offices for department chairpersons and general faculty, conference rooms, and other support spaces. Educational spaces include general multi-use rooms and three lecture halls. The main level includes a bagel shop and gathering areas.
The LEED Silver certified building was designed to integrate technology and green construction with a traditional architectural style consistent with the campus.
The electrical systems include a digital, networked lighting control system, interior, and exterior lighting, emergency power via a diesel-electric generator, multi-level surge suppression, wired and wireless communications, fire alarm, and kitchen and restaurant design for the bagel shop.
