Foundation Square / Greene Street Lighting / Pulaski Street Streetscaping

GWA, Inc. was under contract with three different clients—a civil engineer, a landscape architect, and a contractor—working on three separate projects: Foundation Square, Greene Street Lighting, and Pulaski Street Streetscaping, all of which were part of the Innovista Masterplan prepared by Sasaki Associates, Inc. in July 2007. The project was coordinated with the City of Columbia/USC Partnership, Richland County Penny Sales Tax, and SC DOT. “The urban design concept is to create a pedestrian street in the European tradition as the primary link between the University and the Congaree Regional Waterfront Park.”

GWA, Inc.’s work included planning, electrical and communications infrastructure, service conversions related to the undergrounding of overhead lines, coordination with power and communication utilities, roadway and pedestrian lighting, specialty and accent lighting, power and infrastructure for traffic controls and incorporation of A/V systems in patio/stage area.
