A new 126,000 square foot ground freight terminal facility located on a 17-acre parcel in an industrial park and designed to allow for FedEx’s expanded trucking operations in Columbia, SC. The facility included a large distribution center with automated conveying systems, administrative offices, meeting and training spaces as well as a computer room. The project was designed to meet national FedEx specifications and included energy-efficient interior and exterior lighting, power distribution, enhanced grounding, fire alarm, security, dock door controls, lighting and ventilation, turnstile and gate controls, battery chargers, overhead traffic signaling systems, and infrastructure for voice and data communication systems.
